Work Permit and Visa Coordinator

Responsibilities: Ensure procedures for mobilization of expat employees are in compliance with the national legislation and procedures for the hiring of foreign nationals citizens. Ensure the company is compliant with the rules of entry, stay and exit of the country, rights and duties for all expat employees and family members. Provide advice on Labor and Immigration laws, procedures, requirements and changes that may impact the business. Liaise with internal and external parties to align on requirements costs and timeframes for each type of application. Interface with Project Partners (Area 4& Area 1), contractors and Public Authorities (INP, Ministry of Labor and Immigration Department) to align mobilization processes/procedures. Ensure coordination with TMO & HR department to align international expat assignments and act as the main in country point of contact. Prepare, submit and monitor Work Permits (Long- and Short-term applications) and Work and Business Visa applications. Coordination, facilitation and monitoring of Consular visa applications, in-country Visa extension/renewal applications. Ensure that all data related to mobilization is accurately archived and maintained in good order. Validate travel requests in OneLogistics to ensure that all the documentation in relation to visas are in place before the final travel approval to Mozambique. Monitoring the arrivals and coordinating Meet & Greet Services for visa upon arrival assistance at the airport. Conduct Work Permit and Work Visas cancellation processes. Ensure full and complete reporting of Team's activities. Control Services Providers invoicing process and confirm the reception of goods. Update the system on the Labor and Immigration regulation changes. Ensure data is validated on check-in (Passport copies, Criminal Background checks, Employment Contracts, Academic Certificates, Work Permits and Visas). Train other users on the correct use of CMS and participate in data cleansing or data management efforts. Qualifications and Experience Degree relevant field. Previous global mobility experience. A solid understanding of Mozambican Labor and Immigration Laws. Knowledge of the Rovuma Basin Decree-Law. Excellent communication skills and ability to cooperate, liaise and solve problems with others. Attentive and service focused. Bilingual proficiency in Portuguese and English. Confidence and experience in coordinating others and intervening when required. Demonstrated ability to prepare applications, coordinate service providers, report, and prepare written and verbal communications to support management decisions.
