Port Security Facility Officer (PFSO)

Responsibilities: Act as the Port Facility Security Officer (PFSO) and oversee the implementation of the ISPS Code requirements. Maintain and update all documentation related to port facility security. Ensure compliance with the approved Port Facility Security Plan (PFSP). Participate in the preparation, review and updating of the Port Facility Security Assessment (PFSA). Liaise with relevant maritime, port and security authorities. Coordinate with the Company Security Officer (CSO), vessel representatives, contractors and other relevant stakeholders. Verify that personnel involved in port operations hold the required security training certificates and qualifications. Qualifications: Proven professional experience in the port, maritime, logistics or security sector. Solid knowledge of the ISPS Code and port facility security requirements. Previous experience as a PFSO or in a similar port/maritime security position. Relevant PFSO / ISPS security training and certification. Practical knowledge of PFSA and PFSP requirements. Experience dealing with maritime or port authorities. Experience managing compliance documentation, certificates and permits. Good organisational and administrative skills. Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to security and compliance. Good written and spoken English. Knowledge of Italian and/or other languages is an advantage.
