As Technical Leader Maintenance, you will lead the Lab Equipment Technical Support team and play a key role in ensuring the availability, reliability and compliance of the laboratory equipment that supports Quality Assistance's analytical activities. Through your maintenance expertise and leadership, you will ensure laboratory equipment remains reliable, compliant and available, enabling scientific teams to deliver high-quality analytical results. Reporting to the Qualifications Department Manager, you will provide both operational and people leadership to a team of five Equipment Support Technicians. Your key responsibilities Here's what you'll take ownership of: Team leadership Ensure the day-to-day operational efficiency of the team Lead recruitment activities and onboarding for new team members Develop team capability through coaching, performance reviews and training plans Maintenance coordination and technical support Plan maintenance activities according to operational priorities; Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance to maintain equipment availability and performance; Coordinate interventions related to equipment breakdowns, installations, relocations and recommissioning; Provide technical expertise when resolving complex equipment issues; Monitor activities performed by external suppliers and service providers; Act as the primary contact for laboratories regarding equipment-related matters; Approve intervention reports and associated technical documentation ; Support the acquisition, installation and commissioning of new laboratory equipment, including URS, DQ, IQ, OQ, PQ, FAT and SAT activities; Contribute to equipment qualification and validation processes; Ensure compliance with internal procedures and applicable regulatory requirements; Prepare, update and approve quality documentation, including SOPs, maintenance procedures, qualification procedures, Change Controls and Deviations; Define and optimise preventive maintenance plans and intervention frequencies to improve equipment reliability, performance and availability; Skills you'll need to bring To succeed in this role, you'll bring: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Science or Electromechanics; Significant experience in laboratory equipment maintenance and technical support; Strong knowledge of metrology, equipment qualification and technical impact assessment; Good understanding of equipment qualification and validation processes; Expertise in GMP requirements and associated quality systems; Proficiency in technical and quality documentation; Leadership capability within a technical environment Strong communication skills Excellent organisational skills and decision-making ability; Resilience and adaptability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift frequently and unexpected challenges require calm judgement and sound decision-making Minimum B1 level in English, both written and spoken Our commitment to you This role combines people leadership with hands-on technical expertise in a setting where your contribution has a visible impact on laboratory operations every day.
