OSBL Area 3 - Field Construction Superintendent - Utilities

Goals and deliverables ·      Lead by example to foster a culture of safety within both Client and EPC Contractor teams, demonstrating a thorough understanding of HSE principles. ·      Ensure full compliance with all applicable Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements throughout all work activities, promoting a safe and healthy work environment. ·      Support the Area Manager in all delegated responsibilities pertaining to the Pipeline and Utilities team. ·      Ensure the team consistently meets performance standards and fulfills all corporate requirements. ·      Promote team spirit, encourage collaboration, and build trust among team members. Immediately report or communicate any incidents occurring within the assigned area. ·      Monitor all construction activities within the area in accordance with project requirements and construction procedures, through to final system handover to the Commissioning team, with a particular focus on Company responsibilities. ·      Cultivate strong working relationships with the EPC Contractor for daily management and effective resolution of critical issues. ·      Facilitate the development and review of execution plans, method statements, and other relevant procedures to ensure alignment with project strategies and the safe, high-quality, and timely completion of works. ·      Maintain a visible presence on site to visibly demonstrate commitment to safety, quality, and construction oversight, enabling direct contact with Contractor and Subcontractor teams. ·      Review EPC Contractor construction progress, provide input to internal construction reporting systems, identify schedule deviations or risks, and propose appropriate mitigation measures to management and the EPC Contractor. ·      Support management by supplying input and coordination for overall site management within the area of responsibility. ·      Assess current and anticipated issues, identify potential risks using technical expertise and experience, and propose or influence technical and organizational solutions, including the integration of lessons learned and best practices. ·      Oversee the physical execution of all phases, including precommissioning and the transition to commissioning activities, including during SIMOPS (Simultaneous Operations). ·      Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the EPC Contractor’s construction management processes. ·      Attend all necessary construction planning meetings to ensure thorough follow-up on issues and action resolutions. ·      Coordinate with quality department to oversee quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) processes to guarantee that all works meet the required standards and specifications. ·      Support the planning and execution of site emergency drills and participate in incident investigations as required. ·      Ensure proper documentation and handover of completed work packages and as-built records to the operations/commissioning teams. ·      Promote continuous improvement by encouraging feedback and innovation within the team and among contractor personnel.   Expected skills ·      Trench excavation, bedding, pipe laying, and backfill ·      Pipeline crossings ·      Nitrogen Generation ·      OSBL Utilities Systems ·      HSE Leadership – OSBL-Specific Hazard ·      Underground services management ·      SIMOPS ·      Advanced ·      Instrument & Plant Air Systems ·      E&I installation ·      Fuel Gas Systems ·      Cathodic protection (CP) systems ·      Onshore pipeline construction supervision ·      Pipeline hydrotesting ·      Pigging facilities ·      Planning, Schedule & Reporting ·      HV/MV electrical distribution infrastructure ·      Insulation and painting ·      Potable & Industrial Water ·      pipeline integrity ·      Pipeline Corridor ·      Flare & Relief Systems (OSBL portion) ·      MEG (Mono-Ethylene Glycol) System Construction ·      Cooling Water & Seawater Systems ·      Gas turbine generator (GTG) installation and mechanical completion ·      Codes, Standards & Regulatory Knowledge ·      Firewater Systems ·      Large-bore piping construction ·      Power Generation & Distribution ·      Pipeline welding ·      Air cooled heat exchangers (ACHEs) ·      Pre-Commissioning & Commissioning Transition (OSBL-Specific) ·      Multidisciplinary Construction Supervision ·      Mechanical equipment setting ·      Seawater intake and cooling water systems ·      Emergency diesel generator (EDG) installation and testing ·      Civil & structural works within OSBL
