RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversee the Process Engineering team to ensure that the agreed production plans, product quality and operational costs requirements are met. Lead strategy development to ensure the achievement of short and long-term objectives. Provide strategic direction and technical support to the mining, process operations and maintenance leadership team. Foster a culture of high performance by motivating process engineering and operations personnel, and providing direction in meeting production objectives. Lead initiatives that prompt the team´s alignment with the company´s organizational values and culture. Promote and oversee the development and implementation of any required changes to the production processes to improve output, product quality and to reduce costs. Oversee all operating processes to ensure the efficient and effective use of plant equipment in adherence with health, safety and environment standards. Oversee the negotiation process and maintain good working relationships with contractors and suppliers to ensure the cost-effective provision of services to the operations. Prepare and monitor budgets to ensure optimum use of production resources. Proactively contribute to the process of analyzing, forecasting, and planning workforce needs. Maintain regular stakeholder engagement outside of the Production division to ensure awareness of production requirements and challenges. Ensure the monitoring of the operations, processes and procedures to ensure that these comply with health, safety and environmental standards. Drive the revision of processes and equipment to determine how emissions may be reduced and compliance with environmental standards are achieved. Maintain an awareness of new developments in production processes and propose modifications to plant and equipment so that the company makes the best use of technological developments in its sector. Manage metallurgical and related process consumables within designated budget. Manage the monthly reporting of all operation KPI’s and for the contractors within Operation Department (Laboratory, BlueCube, etc.). Manage the process plant physical accounting and reconciliation processes. QUALIFICATIONS: Tertiary qualification in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering and/or Processing Engineering or equivalent. At least 6 years in similar role preferable with a primary flotation expertise. Contract Management experience highly desirable. Sound computer proficiency with advanced MS Office, database skills and Pronto. Mentoring and training capabilities skills. Proven organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks and competing deadlines. Exceptional problem-solving and decisions making skills. Thorough knowledge of all aspects of the production process.
