WE’RE HIRING: LEAD SECURITY ANALYST Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers State Industry: Oil & Gas – Exploration & Production Employment Type: Full-Time Function: Corporate Security Our Client is seeking an experienced Lead Security Analyst to support security intelligence, risk analysis, incident reporting, and security information management within a high-risk operational environment. The successful candidate will work closely with security analysts, coordinators, security managers, security agencies, and other stakeholders to monitor emerging threats and provide timely intelligence and decision-support information. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Source and monitor national security, political, maritime, and operational threats from credible sources. Collect, verify, analyze, and disseminate security intelligence and risk information. Maintain and update the Security Incident Reporting Tool and supporting databases. Capture and track security incidents across Company locations and Nigerian waters. Liaise with Security Managers and relevant stakeholders to follow up on incidents and ensure accurate reporting. Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual security reports and risk assessments . Identify security trends and emerging risks and provide analytical insights to support decision-making. Prepare periodic security documents based on emerging threats, incidents, and risk trends. Develop security decision-support tools and analytical reports. Conduct incident mapping and maintain accurate geographic security information. Develop and monitor Security KPIs . Support preparation of Security inputs for strategic planning and Company reporting documents. Supervise, train, and provide technical support to other Security Analysts. Act as administrator of the Security Incident Reporting Tool . Serve as Floor HSE Liaison Officer and support compliance with Company HSE requirements. Perform other security analysis and reporting activities as directed by the Security Management team. REQUIREMENTS Relevant professional experience in Security Intelligence, Security Analysis, Risk Management, Corporate Security, or a related field . Proven experience in security reporting, intelligence gathering, threat assessment, and incident analysis . Strong knowledge of security information management and database administration. Experience analyzing security incidents and identifying patterns, trends, and emerging threats . Strong report-writing and analytical skills. Experience preparing daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual security reports. Experience with incident mapping, security KPIs, and decision-support tools . Ability to source and validate information from multiple channels, including security agencies and other credible sources. Experience working within a high-risk or complex security environment , preferably Oil & Gas. Ability to supervise, train, and support junior security analysts. Strong Microsoft Office/data analysis skills. Excellent written and spoken English. REQUIRED TRAINING / CERTIFICATION Candidates should have relevant training or certification in areas such as: General Health, Safety & Environment (GHSE) Contractor Employee HSE / HSE Level 3 Competency Intelligence Gathering & Information Management Security Management Security Risk Assessment and Analysis IDEAL CANDIDATE We are particularly interested in professionals with hands-on experience in security intelligence and risk analysis , especially those who have worked within Oil & Gas, corporate security, government security agencies, intelligence, maritime security, or other high-risk environments . The ideal candidate should be highly analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of transforming security information from multiple sources into clear reports, risk assessments, trend analysis, and decision-support information .
