Title: DCS Commissioning Specialist Job Summary We are looking for a highly skilled DCS Commissioning Specialist to support and lead all DCS-related commissioning activities on an industrial project. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience working with DCS systems, with proven hands-on experience with YOKOGAWA systems. The role requires strong technical expertise in DCS commissioning, troubleshooting, configuration verification, and coordination with E&I and loop-check teams. Fluent English is mandatory. Only candidates who meet the key technical requirements will be considered. Key Responsibilities ● Lead and perform DCS commissioning activities throughout the project. ● Carry out DCS reception, energization, and functional checks. ● Verify DCS configuration against approved project specifications and documentation. ● Check control logic, sequences, alarms, interlocks, and functional requirements. ● Coordinate closely with the loop-check team to support commissioning activities and resolve DCS-related issues. ● Troubleshoot and debug DCS issues identified during commissioning. ● Make necessary modifications within the DCS to ensure compliance with project specifications, including: ○ Signal ranges ○ Sensor types ○ Functional logic ○ Alarms and interlocks ○ Control and monitoring functions ● Verify DCS interfaces with field instrumentation and other control systems where applicable. ● Complete and maintain all required quality and commissioning documentation related to on-site checks. ● Ensure commissioning activities are performed in accordance with project procedures, specifications, and HSE requirements. ● Support the commissioning team in identifying and resolving technical issues efficiently. Required Qualifications & Experience Essential Requirements ● Minimum 10 years of professional experience with DCS systems. ● Proven hands-on experience in DCS commissioning. ● Confirmed experience with YOKOGAWA systems. ● Strong experience in troubleshooting, debugging, and modifying DCS configurations. ● Ability to interpret technical and engineering documentation. ● Fluent English — mandatory. ● Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary commissioning and engineering teams. Technical Skills Skill Required Level DCS Confirmed YOKOGAWA Systems Confirmed Commissioning of E&I Advanced Reading of E&I documentation (logic diagrams, wiring diagrams, loop diagrams, instrumentation hook-ups) Advanced Pre-commissioning (P&ID checks, blowing, flushing, inerting, etc.) Advanced Reading of piping documentation (P&IDs, isometrics, support books, etc.) Advanced Commissioning management Confirmed Commissioning of rotating equipment Advanced Preferred Profile The ideal candidate is: ● A senior commissioning professional with extensive DCS experience. ● Highly experienced with YOKOGAWA DCS platforms. ● Comfortable working directly on site and resolving commissioning issues independently. ● Able to coordinate effectively with loop-check, instrumentation, electrical, and commissioning teams. ● Detail-oriented and rigorous when completing commissioning and quality documentation. ● Able to work in an international, multidisciplinary environment. ● Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Selection Criteria Candidates will be assessed based on their technical qualifications, relevant commissioning experience, DCS expertise, experience with YOKOGAWA systems, English proficiency, and overall suitability for the project. The selection process may also consider factors such as relevant project experience, technical and commercial suitability, availability, delivery requirements, contractual considerations, and overall project risk.
