Position Summary We are seeking a qualified Welding & Materials Engineer to support engineering studies and construction activities within the DIVERS Project. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will provide technical expertise in welding engineering, materials, and non-destructive testing (NDT), while working closely with multidisciplinary project teams and subcontractors. The role involves supporting both engineering and construction phases, ensuring compliance with client specifications, industry standards, and project quality requirements. Key Responsibilities Provide technical support to engineering and construction teams on welding and materials-related matters. Develop, review, and implement welding procedures and project-specific technical documentation. Evaluate client specifications, technical requirements, and project documentation. Review and assess technical bids to support subcontractor selection. Provide technical guidance and support to subcontractors throughout project execution. Review subcontractor manufacturing documentation, including: Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) Welding books and fabrication procedures Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) procedures Investigate and resolve welding and fabrication non-conformities. Support construction sites through technical assistance and periodic site visits. Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements. Required Qualifications Education & Certifications ESSA Welding Engineer and/or International Welding Engineer (IWE) certification. Strong knowledge of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods. Experience Experience in the Oil & Gas industry. Experience supporting engineering studies, fabrication, and construction projects. Experience working with subcontractors and fabrication yards is highly desirable. Skills & Competencies Strong technical knowledge of welding engineering and metallurgy. Ability to interpret technical specifications and international standards. Experience with fabrication quality control and NDT processes. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Ability to work independently while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Willingness to travel for onshore and offshore assignments.
