Terminal Operator

Key deliverables – Maintenance operations: Ensure that daily, weekly and monthly checks are carried out on all mechanical systems and aircraft refuelling equipment, including fuel tanks, hydrant systems, pumps, filtration units, storage tanks, pipework and valves. Ensure that all mechanical systems are functioning correctly and comply with safety standards. Carry out regular inspections to identify and resolve potential problems before they escalate. Carry out timely repairs or replacement of faulty components to minimise downtime and maintain operational availability. Plan and prioritise the maintenance of aviation fuel refuelling facilities to prevent any disruption to loading and unloading operations. Provide accurate and timely reports on all maintenance activities to the line manager. Provide support during quality audits conducted by regulatory bodies. Respond promptly to reports of malfunctions in all refuelling equipment and tools. Take part in training sessions and safety drills to improve your skills and knowledge. Negotiate effectively to reduce equipment maintenance cost Other Assigned Responsibilities Minimum Qualifications Education Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field Experience 2 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in the field of aviation refuelling, LPG, oil and gas, or in a similar industrial environment. Qualifications  Relevant technical qualifications (e.g. HSE, welding and fabrication, mechanical installation) are an advantage. Knowledge / Skills Good knowledge of electrical systems, cabling and equipment used in aviation fuel depots. Experience in the installation, servicing and maintenance of aviation fuel tanks, hydrant systems, pumps, filtration units, pipelines, valves and fuel storage systems. Knowledge of aviation safety standards, Joint Inspection Group (JIG) standards and regulatory compliance relating to the handling of aviation fuel. Basic analytical and problem-solving skills. Solid professional experience in HSE management Good practical knowledge of maintenance management AutoCAD (for mechanical design and drafting). Effective communication skills to report issues and interact with team members. Good organisational and time-management skills.
