Job Description – Project Manager (Onshore Turbine Installation) Position: Project Manager – Turbine Installation Location: Onshore Project Site Industry: Energy / Oil & Gas / Power Generation Contract Type: Project-based / EPC Project Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the installation and commissioning of an onshore turbine within an EPC project environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all phases of the project including engineering coordination, procurement interface, construction supervision, and commissioning activities, ensuring that the project is delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with contractual and technical requirements . Fluency in French is mandatory as the role requires coordination with French-speaking stakeholders, contractors, and project teams. Key Responsibilities Project Management Lead the execution of the turbine installation project from mobilization to commissioning. Ensure compliance with EPC contract requirements, project specifications, and HSE standards . Develop and monitor project schedules, milestones, and deliverables. Engineering & Technical Coordination Coordinate engineering interfaces related to turbine installation. Ensure alignment between engineering, procurement, and construction activities. Review technical documentation, drawings, and installation procedures. Construction & Installation Supervise turbine installation activities on site. Coordinate subcontractors and ensure proper execution of mechanical installation works. Monitor progress and ensure adherence to construction schedules. Commissioning & Start-up Support turbine commissioning and testing activities. Coordinate with commissioning teams and OEM representatives. Ensure readiness for start-up and performance testing. HSE & Quality Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality standards . Promote a strong safety culture across all project teams and contractors. Stakeholder Management Act as the primary interface between the client, EPC contractor, and subcontractors. Provide regular reporting on project progress, risks, and mitigation plans. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline . Minimum 10–15 years of experience in project management within the energy or power generation sector . Proven experience in EPC projects involving turbine installation or major rotating equipment. Required Skills Strong experience in EPC project execution Experience in turbine installation or power generation equipment Solid knowledge of construction management and commissioning processes Excellent leadership and coordination skills Strong problem-solving abilities Ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and contractors. Languages French: Fluent (mandatory) English: Professional working proficiency Preferred Experience Experience working on large-scale infrastructure or energy projects Previous experience in Africa or international EPC projects Experience working with OEM turbine manufacturers .
