Barge Master (Jack-up/JU)

Status: Permanent Duration: Unlimited Start: Early Q1 2026 Rotation: Offshore, 28*28 Purpose: Ensure that all marine aspects of the rig’s operations are carried out in accordance with statutory and regulatory controls and guidelines. Supervise the operation of the marine department to ensure the safe and efficient running of the rig. Requirements: Marine Engineering degree or Work experience and demonstrated ability of oral and written communications may be substituted in lieu of formal education. Must hold below certificates prior to actual start date as mentioned above. Valid OGUK approved Medical Certificate or equivalent. Valid (BOSIET) certificate. Valid STCW BST Valid OIM License. Lifeboatman Certificate. Jackup Stability Course Certificate. Global Maritime Distress Safety System (GMDSS) Operator and GeneralOperator Certificate if rig assignment is GMDSS equipped, or Radio Operator Permit if rig assignment is non GMDSS equipped. 15+ years of experience in the same capacity. Strong HSE background and regulatory knowledge regarding the implementation and/or compliance with the various policies and standards. Awareness of legislative, statutory requirements relevant to the Installation. Experience in managing a large workforce. Experience in managing multifunctional groups and multi-national teams Excellent English oral and written communication skills.
