Security Coordinator - PHC

Job Position: Security Coordinator Location: Portharcourt Base                                                           Direction: Security   SERVICE DIMENSIONS §  Administration and Coordination of Security activities in the Port Harcourt Main Base and Staff Residential Areas § Coordination of 388 Civil Security personnel, and other armed Security personnel - MOPOL,   Activities §  Planning and Organizing all Security operations in the main base for Access Control functions o   Develop a security service plan for security personnel o   Develop standards for effective access control functions o   Advice on personnel training through periodic seminars and workshops to enhance performance o   Ensure proper screening of visitors to the base o   Ensure availability of security gadgets and tools viz; radios, vests, detectors, under search mirrors etc. o    Supervise the implementation of approved Access control procedures in PHC office.   §  Address requests o   Collect and process request for guards o   Process VMS request, Grant approvals and Escalate request for higher approval when necessary   §  Plan, access all security needs for Ogoja club and Main base party functions o    Work in tandem with other security outfits to safeguard personnel and property  o    Prepare security teams for emergency response o    Make estimates for security needs at events and other functions within and outside the base   §  Supervise and monitor security personnel performance o   Set-up beats/ teams with unit supervisors for effective monitoring - Assign guard coordinators to locations for effective supervision and collation/gathering of intelligence for analysis - Main base Security Risk Assessment and control - Check of compliance to Rules and Standards   §  Report process performance o   Security breaches, incidents, and downgraded situations o   Make recommendations and sanction erring personnel o   Process follow-up data o   Report daily access statistic and vehicular movement    §  Participate in Port-Harcourt security performance meeting o   Report Main Base and residential location security status and make recommendations Context and Environment Port-Harcourt, High risk, sensitive environment with unpredictable situations with occasional community issues. Under-equipped, and inadequately trained security personnel - in regard to company security requirements and culture.   Qualifications / experience required University degree or HND in social sciences, arts or engineering. 5 to 10 years experience in armed forces or security organisation. Position in Oil and Gas industry will be an added advantage.
