Job Summary Responsible for day-to-day technical supervision and execution of earthworks and highway construction activities on site. You will ensure works align with approved designs, specifications, and quality standards. Key Responsibilities • Interpret drawings and set out the works (surveying, leveling, staking). • Supervise earthworks (excavation, filling, compaction), drainage, sub-base, and pavement layers. • Conduct quality tests (soil, materials, compaction) and maintain records. • Monitor daily progress, resource utilization, and subcontractor performance. • Identify and resolve technical issues on site; liaise with the Project Manager and design team. • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and environmental controls. • Prepare as-built drawings, daily reports, and material requisitions. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. • 5–8+ years’ experience as Site Engineer on road/highway projects with reputable contractors. • Proficiency in AutoCAD, surveying tools, and construction software. • Knowledge of Nigerian road design standards and quality control procedures. • Strong on-site supervision and team coordination skills.
