About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Data & Weight Control Engineer to support multidisciplinary engineering projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and maintaining Weight Control Reports (WCR) and Material Take-Offs (MTO) while ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and reporting of engineering data. Working under the supervision of a project manager, you will collaborate with multiple engineering disciplines and contribute to the successful execution of engineering studies. Key Responsibilities Prepare, maintain, and update Weight Control Reports (WCR). Develop and manage Material Take-Offs (MTO). Review and interpret mechanical, fabrication, and construction drawings. Analyze, validate, and manage engineering data with a high level of accuracy. Develop and optimize Excel-based tools and reports. Support data processing and automation using Python and VBA where applicable. Prepare dashboards and reporting tools (Power BI knowledge is an advantage). Coordinate and communicate regularly with project teams and other engineering disciplines. Ensure deliverables are completed in accordance with project requirements and quality standards. Required Qualifications Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Experience reading and interpreting fabrication and construction drawings. Strong analytical skills with a passion for data management and reporting. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Working knowledge of VBA. Good programming skills in Python. Experience with Power BI is highly desirable. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Language Requirements French: Professional working proficiency. English: Mandatory
