Job Summary We seek an experienced Project Manager to oversee the full lifecycle of major earthworks and highway construction activities as a subcontractor. You will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, to the highest quality and safety standards, while coordinating with the main contractor, client, and internal teams. Key Responsibilities • Lead planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of earthworks, road construction, and related civil works. • Manage project budget, schedule, resources, and risks; track progress against milestones and report to senior management and the client. • Supervise site teams (engineers, supervisors, subcontractors) and ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and contract terms. • Coordinate with the main contractor, consultants, and regulatory bodies; manage variations, claims, and change orders. • Oversee quality control, health & safety, and environmental compliance. • Optimize resource allocation, including equipment, materials, and labor for earthworks efficiency. • Prepare weekly/monthly progress reports, cash flow forecasts, and project documentation. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master’s or PMP preferred). • 10+ years’ experience in highway/road/earthworks projects, with at least 5 years as Project Manager in a major firm (Julius Berger, CCECC, etc.). • Strong knowledge of Nigerian construction standards, FIDIC contracts, and heavy civil works. • Proven leadership, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work in remote/site conditions.
