HSE Supervisor

About the Role We are looking for an experienced HSE / Safety Advisor to support a major offshore gas and condensate development in the Caspian Sea. The role will be based on a semi-submersible drilling rig supporting a technically challenging 3-well drilling campaign over approximately 28 months. The project involves complex well architecture, shallow hazards, borehole stability challenges, high-pressure sections, and the use of advanced drilling technologies. Key Responsibilities Provide HSE advice and support to the Senior Supervisor and offshore drilling teams. Ensure compliance with HSE policies, procedures, bridging documents, and applicable regulations. Identify and mitigate operational risks, including downgraded situations and SIMOPS. Participate in risk assessments, JSA, pre-spud, pre-job, and daily operational meetings. Conduct HSE inductions and monitor training and competency compliance. Coach and mentor crews in HSE best practices and safety rules. Support HSE campaigns and promote a strong safety culture, including Stop Work Authority. Coordinate emergency preparedness, drills, and contractor emergency response plans. Participate in incident/accident investigations, root-cause analysis, and follow-up of corrective actions. Monitor and report HSE KPIs and maintain accurate HSE records and action tracking. Conduct HSE inspections, spot audits, and HSE tours covering PTW, equipment, vehicles, facilities, and emergency arrangements. Support internal/external audits and ensure timely close-out of findings. Ensure compliance with waste management and other relevant environmental requirements. Requirements Bachelor's or Master's degree in HSE, Engineering, or a related discipline. Minimum 7 years' experience in the Oil & Gas industry . Minimum 5 years' experience as an HSE/Safety Advisor or equivalent in oil and gas operations. Offshore drilling experience is strongly preferred. Experience with semi-submersible drilling operations is an advantage. Strong knowledge of HSE management systems, risk assessment, PTW, SIMOPS, incident investigation, and emergency response. Experience working with contractors and multicultural teams. Fluent English and Azerbaijani. Dynamic, proactive, well-organized, and detail-oriented.
